In brief

What works, what to weigh

+

Strengths

4 reasons to book
  • Genuinely personal hosting — The owner is a recurring highlight in guest reviews, helping with maps, directions, restaurant tips, opening times and airport transfers. One guest said the host even shared a mobile number in case they got lost.
  • Excellent Trastevere location — The B&B is on Viale Trastevere, with a tram stop about 100 metres away and local restaurants nearby. Reviewers found it easy to reach the centre while still being in a quiet, residential setting.
  • Spotless, comfortable rooms — Guests repeatedly describe the rooms as immaculate, spacious and well decorated, with modern bathrooms and comfortable beds. Soundproofing, air conditioning and allergy-free rooms are listed among the amenities.
  • Breakfast and thoughtful extras — Breakfast includes cakes and desserts, and guests mention a welcome basket with croissants and snacks. In-room breakfast, a snack bar and special diet menus are also listed.

Worth weighing

4 to weigh
  • Short check-in window — Check-in is only from 14:00 to 21:00, so late arrivals need to plan ahead. The property lists VIP and express check-in/out, which may help, but the standard window remains tight.
  • No pets allowed — Pets are not permitted, so travellers with animals will need to look elsewhere.
  • Dining rates below the rest — Dining scored 7 out of 10 in the rating categories, behind rooms, location and value. Breakfast wins praise, but the wider food offer is less established.
  • Airport shuttle is paid — The airport transfer service is listed as paid, so it adds to the cost of getting to and from Ciampino. The property is 25 km from the airport.

“The surprise welcome basket of croissants and snacks was a lovely touch, and the location made exploring the nearby sights effortless.”

9.1Verified guest

“The owner went out of his way to help, giving detailed information on getting around Rome, what to see and opening times. He organised airport transfers that arrived on time, in modern cars with helpful drivers who spoke good English. The accommodation was spotless and had everything you'd usually want. The person who prepared breakfast daily and kept the room in order was consistently friendly and helpful. The location could hardly be more convenient — about 100 metres to the tram stop, seven stops to the Area Sacra terminus, which takes around five minutes, with trams every few minutes.”
